As I type this I can look at two bunn coffee pots, have two in boxes that have leaked. Have a bunn at my workplace, had to replace it because it leaked. So you see I have used bunn brewers for several years. The older units could be repaired by ordering a kit from bunn....no longer available. Bunn offers a $40. credit to order a new coffee maker. WHY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I am 72 years old and could fix this issue with a little change in mfg materials and offer a repair kit.
NOT HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY, Jack!!
i love my Bunn i have had it for 12 years only problem i have had it it leaks but i called them and they sent me a free repair kit and it fixed it. i tell everybody to get a BUNN best coffee maker ever
I love my Bunn BX coffee brewer. It brews great tasting coffee even with the hard water we have here in Las Vegas. And I love it because you don't have to wait for it. If you take care of your brewer it will last a long time.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT, YOUR PRODUCTS ARE THE BEST I HAVE USED THEM FOR OVER 25 YEARS AND I HAD ALL BUT ONE BREWER THAT LASTED FOR 7 YEARS EACH . OTHER POEPLE DON'T TAKE CARE OF THIERS.
My first Bunn I bought in 1991 and it started leaking so I had to replace it in Oct. 2010. I have heard the new ones don't last and start leaking so we will see with this one. Make sure you keep the lid on your pot because it let's out the heat and your coffee won't stay hot. Also the baskets and or filters need to be higher because of the water force it sends grounds up and over the basket. I don't like grounds in my coffee. Other than that I love my Bunn and recommend them to friends. It's so nice not to have to wait for my coffee, especially if I have family or friends over.
I don't like grounds in my coffee either! Let's get that corrected. We have a flow restrictor sprayhead that slows the flow of water just enough to keep that from happening. The most common times that happens is if you use decaf, fine grind or have a water softener in your home. Also, be sure to use BUNN filters because they are 1/4" taller than typical paper filters. Please send us your info and we'll send you out a flow restrictor sprayhead right away http://www.BunnAtHome.com/parts-service
I love my Bunn, but these units have a failure that involves inferior plastic used in the fill basin. The basin breaks down from heat where it connects to the reservoir. Then you have leaks all over your counter. Bunn coffee makers have a reputation, and designing an inferior items such as this in todays economy, will eventually hurt their business. The reason is, myself and others will spread the word to not purchase a Bunn.
I'm sorry that you've had a bad experience with leaking. Have you spoken with our customer service team? Your brewer has a 3-year limited warranty which should cover most issues that you might experience.
Mine is cracked in 2 places just like it did before. If they don't send me a free one I will never have a Bunn product again.
Please let me know if the customer service team has been able to help you with your brewer issue. If you haven't had a chance to contact them yet, they are available Monday-Friday from 7am to 5pm at 800-352-2866.
I've had four of these and they all start leaking because the hole where the fill basin is connected to the reservoir starts deteriating due to the heat from the reservoir. The plastic basin needs to be more heat resistant.
Mine started leaking as did the previous Bunn coffee maker I owned. They sent me a repair kit that did not work on mine. Appears there is no kit to repair mine. Offered to send me a new one for $69.00 if I sent the old one to them. I may as well go purchase a new one as to go through all the trouble and paying to have it shipped to them. Think I will just go purchase a Black&Decker one cause my friend has one and when it went bad they sent her a brand new one for free and all she had to do was cut the plug off the cord and send to them.
